This commercial plaza is located at one of the busiest intersections in Brownsville.  The Owners wanted to take advantage of the high visibility of the site by creating an attractive and eye-catching design. The project is approximately 18,400 square feet of leasable space.  This project was done in collaboration with well-known design firm NOMA Studio.

 

The project had to overcome a series of challenges related to the site itself.  Previously, a public street bisected the site into two equal pieces.  SGA worked with the City of Brownsville to officially abandon the street and then move it to the southern edge of the property.  This "land swap" was a tricky bureaucratic ballet - but ultimately allowed the project to become viable.
