The premier strength and conditioning coach in South Texas worked with SGA to create a one-of-a-kind performance and training facility that consistently produces elite athletes. This project was the brainchild of owner Jaime Cavazos, who developed a well-earned reputation as a performance coach for middle-school and high-school students in the Rio Grande Valley. This project incorporates an indoor basketball/volleyball gym, indoor running track, and weight training area. The building was designed to project an athletic, youthful, and dynamic image. The architectural expression incorporates the ideas of movement and a powerful structural stance. Special attention was paid to lighting, flooring, and wall finishes. This project was co-created with a prominent local design firm, NOMA Studio and even garnered an AIA Citation Award
